LATS Bike Racks

All LATS buses are equipped with bike racks. The racks are conveniently located on the front of each bus and can hold up to two bicycles. Take your bike with you to school, your favorite park, or your favorite destination - your bike rides free!

Bike rules:
- Be prepared before the bus arrives.
- You are responsible for the loading and unloading of your bicycle. For safety reasons the driver is not allowed to assist you.
- Racks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- No bikes are allowed on the inside of LATS buses.
- If the racks are full you should wait on the next bus.
- If you are unable to secure your bike, please do not delay the bus.
- All bikes 16" or larger fit easily and securely on the racks.
- No motorized bikes allowed.
- LATS is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

LOADING YOUR BIKE

- Have your bike ready as the bus approaches.
- Remove items before loading.
- Tell the operator your're going to use the bike rack.
- Approach the bike rack from the curbside.
- To lower the rack, squeeze the handle in the center and pull towards you.
- Lift your bike placing the wheels into the proper slot.
- Pull the support arm up then out over the front tire to secure it.

UNLOADING YOUR BIKE

- When the bus approaches your stop, always tell operator you will be unloading your bike.
- To release your bike, pull the support arm away from the wheel and lift your bike from the wheel wells.
- If you are the last person to unload your bike, please return the rack to its upright position.
- Step towards the curb, safely away from the bus.
